There’s this quote from All I Really Need To Know I Learned In Kindergarten that goes something like this
“Life is lumpy, but a lump in the oatmeal, a lump in the throat, and a lump in the breast are not the same lump.”
This is probably one of my favorite quotes ever. When we were doing that play at JDHS, I watched that scene every night because I just loved watching Jasmin Evans deliver that line. It was always so powerful. So, I figured that I would share it with you.

Americanism means the virtues of courage, honor, justice, truth, sincerity, and hardihood—the virtues that made America. The things that will destroy America are prosperity-at-any-price, peace-at-any-price, safety-first instead of duty-first, the love of soft living and the get-rich-quick theory of life.
